“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”  ~ Victor Hugo

For those who miss the era of rock where music had bravado and albums had artwork, we present to you…hope.  Echoes de Luxe have a sound and spirit that embodies straight ahead 70′s rock bred with the sonic experimentation of today. Although their sound infuses many recognizable elements they refuse to be pigeon-holed into any one genre. When asked to categorize their music you will often hear the enigmatic words “Retro-Future Rock”, an ambiguous term that leaves the listener alone to find the definition for themselves and Echoes de Luxe alone to continue creating it.

Over the past year Echoes de Luxe have continued to forge their unique sound, build a solid fan-base, and produced their debut EP, completed in late 2008.  Mixed by Alex Newport (Mars Volta, Death Cab for Cutie) and mastered by Pete Lyman (Mars Volta, Jubilee), the 5 songs showcase impressive range and creativity and have won the band an early champion in Jane’s Addiction guitarist, Dave Navarro.  He has played their songs consistently on his L.A.-based radio show, “Dark Matter” on Indie 103.1.  The band has also performed on-air in the Indie studio.  Attention has been growing steadily for the group.  The acoustic gem “Alchemy” is featured in the independent film “Beyond Words,” due out later this year.  Meanwhile, the band claims they are only beginning to scratch the surface of their creative potential, and aim to start work on a full-length by year’s end.  The band will continue to tour in support of their debut EP throughout 2009.

“Our task….is to make you see, to make you feel– and, above all, to make you hear.  That is all, and it is everything.” ~ Joseph Conrad
